• The City of Minneapolis purchased the Peoples’ Way property at 3744 Chicago Ave in June 2023.
• The City worked with the community to identify a community owner and use for the site.
• The City issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in September 2024.
• On February 26, 2025, the City of Minneapolis held a community event at the Sabathani Community Center. People were invited to meet the applicants and learn about their ideas for the Peoples' Way site at 3744 Chicago Ave.
• Four groups responded to the City’s Request for Qualifications (RFQ). One group has since withdrawn from consideration.
• The City conducted a survey to collect your feedback before moving one of the remaining groups forward for approval by the Mayor and City Council.
