At this summit, we will discuss health disparities and lived experiences within Minneapolis’ Black and African American communities.

This summit will bring together:

  • Community members
  • Healthcare providers
  • Public health professionals

 Childcare will be available during the event to help make participation more accessible for families. Childcare services will start at 5:30 p.m.

We're still looking for panelists

We're looking for:

  • Community members with lived experience with heart disease or prostate cancer
  • Physicians, clinicians, and healthcare professionals with experience related to any of the four focus areas

We’re especially interested in panelists who can speak to:

  • Patient and family experiences
  • Barriers to care
  • Ways we can work together to reduce health disparities

This year's focus areas

The focus areas for this year's summit are:

  • Heart disease
  • Breast cancer
  • Prostate cancer
  • Sickle cell disease
