Listen and prepare
Listening sessions
We are listening to the community's ideas about the Peoples Way as we re-envision the intersection of 38th & Chicago.
In October, we hosted a learning table about the Speedway gas station.
City Council actions
In November, the City Council approved:
- The purchase of the site
- An environmental investigation of the site

Acquired the property
In June the City:
- Completed its due diligence
- Purchased the property
2024
Identify future use and ownership
The City will:
- Manage the property and how it is used
- Begin community engagement to determine future use and ownership
