Moving forward together

Real impacts in our neighborhoods and corridors

In the aftermath of Operation Metro Surge, the City of Minneapolis is moving forward – together – with real support that is making a difference across our city.

We are committed to honoring the resiliency of our neighbors. Community voices – especially from our immigrant, refugee, and cultural communities – are shaping how we respond and take action.

Across Minneapolis, you can see and feel the impact through:

  • Targeted investments
  • Activated commercial corridors
  • Support to reach the people and places most affected

More music is coming to Minneapolis

The City has invested $500,000 from the Small Business Resiliency Fund to bring more live music, performances, and community events to commercial districts this summer and fall.

The funding supports fee-free events and music and venue activations in commercial districts. It also creates more opportunities for musicians, live venues and independent promoters.

Family Gathering Concert Series

Bring the kids and enjoy nine free concerts at independent music venues across Minneapolis.

The series kicks off Sept. 12 with live music, dance and creative arts designed to bring young people and their families together.

Most concerts take place Saturday mornings, with a special Sunday finale at First Avenue.
