How it works

• Submit a tree request
• We will notify you if you are selected. 
• City Trees staff or our contractors at Tree Trust will contact you to schedule a visit to choose the best trees for your yard.
• We will plant the trees for you and provide instructions to care for your trees.

Cost

• Trees are $30 each 
• Submit a request even if cost is an issue. Exemptions can be made.

Requests are reviewed year-round. Application deadlines are: 

• Feb. 15 for spring plantings  
  • You will be notified if you are selected by the end of February  
  • If you apply after Feb. 15, your application will be considered for the fall 
• July 15 for fall plantings  
  • You will be notified if you are selected by the end of July  
  • If you apply after July 15, your application will be considered for the spring 

If you are selected, you must: 

• Commit to watering your trees once a week spring through fall 
  • Estimated cost of water: about $3 per year
