The City of Minneapolis, in coordination with Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB), will construct the final portion of W River Road within the Upper Harbor Terminal development project area in North Minneapolis. the final portion of W. West River Road, construction in 2026
The City will construct a new segment of roadway along W. River Road from 33rd Ave. N. north along the Mississippi River. The new roadway segment will provide access to the Upper Harbor Terminal development.
Completed Projects:
Dowling Avenue North, 2023 - 2024
City staff reconstructed Dowling Ave. N. from Lyndale Ave. N. to the Mississippi River. This is the main way to get to the new Upper Harbor Terminal area.
33rd Avenue North, 2023 - 2024
City staff reconstructed 33rd Ave. N. from 2nd St. N. to the Mississippi River. 33rd Ave N. will provide access to riverfront.
