What we do

The Heritage Preservation Commission is charged with hearing and deciding applications for preservation reviews. This includes:

  • Certificates of appropriateness
  • Historic variances
  • Demolitions of historic resources
  • Proposed nominations of landmarks and historic districts
  • Other matters related to preservation.

Minneapolis code governs the Heritage Preservation Commission’s powers and duties.

The commission meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 4:30 p.m.
