The City will improve traffic safety near three schools to make walking and biking to and from school easier. This is a Safe Routes to School project.

This project will add safety improvements to Hayes Street NE, 33rd Avenue NE, and Ulysses Street NE. The project area is near three schools.

Project Goals:

  • Improve comfort and safety for students walking and biking to and from school
  • Create calmer streets for users of all ages and abilities
  • Improve access to schools and parks
  • Address traffic safety needs at intersections
