We explain the paperwork and permits you need to start your public artwork.

This is the third and final approval step you'll complete before you begin your project.

Next steps

If the City approves your public art project paperwork and permit applications, you'll can start your artwork. If it is not approved, you will have a chance to revise your application.

Note

For projects that are on city property and not in the right of way, you will need to do a lease instead of an encroachment permit. A City Arts staff member will provide the lease to you.
