Overview

Minneapolis African American Historic and Cultural Context study

We are creating a historic and cultural context study about African American heritage:

  • This type of document describes people, places and events related to a common theme.
  • We can use the study to identify important parts of our city's African American history.
  • The study helps guide historic preservation planning in Minneapolis.

Community engagement has driven this study.
