We are working on current applications and cannot accept more applications at this time. The Healthy Homes Weatherization application will reopen in early 2027.

What to know

Weatherization is the process of making your home more affordable, energy-efficient, and comfortable by:

  • Reducing air leakage
  • Adding insulation
  • Controlling moisture
  • Heating and cooling
  • Improving ventilation

Eligible projects

An energy assessment performed after enrollment tells us which projects can receive City funds.

The following types of projects may receive funding:

  • Wall and attic insulation and air sealing
  • Furnace, boiler, and water heater repair or replacement
  • Bath fan installation
  • Removal of knob and tube wiring
  • Removal or encapsulation of asbestos pipe insulation
  • And other necessary preparations for weatherization

 

Before you begin

To be considered for funding, you must:

  • Be eligible: Answer the questions in the first section of the application. This is to confirm that you are eligible for the program.
  • Complete application: Complete every section of the application.
  • Submit an income Document: Attach a required income document in your application.
