What to do:

Donate if usable. If not usable, bag and put in your garbage cart.

More information:

Coffee pods are too small to be properly sorted at the recycling facility. Very few are BPI certified compostable. If the pod is BPI certified compostable, bag and put in your organics cart.

You can empty the coffee grounds into your organics, but the pods should be thrown away.

Fun fact:

Make sure to check with the product manufacturer to see if they have a mail-back program.

Disposal method: Garbage

What to do:

Empty paint cans or cans with dried latex paint may be put in your garbage cart. Leave the lid off so the collection crew can see it's empty. Paint and paint cans are not accepted at the South Transfer Station.
