Post on a neighborhood social media platform to see if anyone in your neighborhood is interested. There are also building material reuse stores in the City. Search online to find one and call for drop-off information.

Pressurized cylinders can injure collection crews if put in carts at your home. Do not attempt to puncture the cylinder. You can bring one pound propane cylinders to a Hennepin County Drop-off facility.
The following locations accept any size propane cylinder, fire extinguisher, or refrigerant tanks. Call ahead for hours of operations and fees.

Recycling sorting facilities can only take metal food and beverage cans, bottles and trays. Other metal items can hurt employees or damage equipment at the recycling sorting facility.

Not accepted for pickup Solid Waste & Recycling or drop off at the South Transfer Station. You must bring lead-acid batteries to a drop-off location. They are not accepted for pickup by Solid Waste and Recycling or drop off at the South Transfer Station.
Do not drain lead-acid batteries.
Any retail store that sells lead acid batteries is required by state law to accept and recycle up to five (5) batteries at no charge with no purchase required.
