Disposal method: Large non-recyclable item pick up, Drop-off

Donate if usable. If not usable, bag and put inside or next to your garbage cart. We'll pick this up on your garbage day. Limit of 2 large items per week. Put large items next to your carts by 6 a.m. on your garbage day. Please label the item 'for Solid Waste'.

• be less than 5 feet long and less than 12 inches in diameter
• secured with tape or twine
• weigh more than 40 pounds

• private transfer station or landfill

Bag and put in your garbage cart.

Dryer lint is not able to be composted. Dryer lint is made up of clothing fibers. Most clothing is made of non-natural fibers. The fibers will not break down in the composting process. Instead they will introduce microplastics into the compost.

Disposal method: Recycle

Remove from plastic bags and put the newspaper in your recycling cart.

You may also use newspaper to line the bottom of a paper bag or compostable bag to absorb moisture from food scraps for composting.
