Fun fact:
Recycling facilities only accept plastic bottles and containers #1 (PET), #2 (HDPE), and #5 (PP) from food, beverages, bathroom and laundry products.
Other plastic items that are too big or too small are not able to be sorted correctly. They also do not take plastics that are black in color.

What to do:
Rugs and mats must be cut and rolled to be picked up as garbage. Rolls must
  • be less than 5 feet long and less than 12 inches in diameter
  • secured with tape or twine
  • weigh more than 40 pounds
Properly prepared rugs and mats will be picked up on your garbage day. Limit of 2 rolls per week. Place next to your carts on your garbage day. Please post a sign or write on the item "for Solid Waste".
