Fireworks
Disposal method: Garbage
What to do:
Soak all fireworks (used or unused) in a bucket of water overnight, then bagged when wet and put in your garbage cart.

Paper boxes from sparklers and snakes can be put in your recycling cart. Although many fireworks come in cardboard like tubes, those tubes are not recyclable and should be bagged and put in the garbage.
Metal sticks from sparklers are not accepted in your recycling cart. Recycling sorting facilities can only take metal food and beverage cans, bottles and trays. Other metal items can hurt employees or damage equipment at the recycling sorting facility.
