S 2nd St. Bikeway Improvement
The City is adding a two-way bikeway with curb protection on 2nd St between 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave.
Project overview
Public Works will upgrade the bike lanes on 2nd St between 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave in Downtown Minneapolis. The new bike lanes will be improved to match the improvements east of 3rd Ave. 2nd Street is part of the All Ages and Abilities Bikeway Network.
This project adds new concrete curb protection within the space of the current street. The work will include:
- New bikeway curb
- Future transit improvements in 2027 at 3rd Ave
