Every year, the City constructs new bikeways to add to the planned bikeway network.

Traffic impacts

Traffic impacts are typically minimal.

Current projects

40th St. Bikeway

In 2022, the City plans to install a new bikeway on 40th St. in southwest Minneapolis.

58th St. W. and Sunrise Dr. resurfacing and bikeway

The City will remove and add a new layer of asphalt and a new bikeway.

9th St S & 10th St S Bikeways

The City will make special lanes for bicyclists and make biking safer.

Hennepin Dunwoody Bikeway and Multi-Use Trail

The City will add trails and bicycle lanes along Hennepin Avenue and Dunwoody Blvd.

Whittier/Lyndale bikeway

The City will enhance bike connections between several neighborhoods in S. Minneapolis.

53rd Ave. N. resurfacing and bikeway

The City will remove and add a new layer of asphalt and a new bikeway.

N 2nd St bikeway

The city will make protected bicycle lanes to make the street safer for all people.
