Project overview

We will replace the damaged sanitary and storm sewer pipes on E River Terrace. The work will take place from St. Anthony Ave to Emerald St. This project will upgrade 715 feet of sanitary pipe and 720 feet of storm pipe. We are also working on their access structures. A new drop shaft will be installed too. 

The new sewer will:

• Help prevent major repairs later on.
• Be abandoned in current location and installed in the roadway.
• Improve flow while decreasing groundwater infiltration and inflow.
• Reduce the amount of erosion occurring on the river bank.

Traffic impacts

Roadwork and utility work involves use of heavy equipment. These will increase in work areas:

• Noise
• Vibration
• Dust

You might see:

• Traffic lanes that narrow or are restricted during construction.
• Parking lanes that will be closed during construction.
• Pedestrian detours around work areas. These will be set up as needed to enable construction. Expect greater impacts at intersections where work is occurring.
