The City reconstructed 37th Ave. NE between Central Ave. and Stinson Blvd.
Project overview
The City of Minneapolis and the City of Columbia Heights have reconstructed 37th Ave NE.
Street updates included:

New signs and pavement markings

New sidewalks
-
Pedestrian ramps that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act

Bicycle fixtures
-
Pavement, curb and gutter updates
-
Pedestrian street lightings
-
Traffic signal updates
-
Utility updates
Summer 2025
Some minor restoration and warranty work will be conducted in the summer of 2025.
Previous project activity
July 2018
Minneapolis Public Works worked with Columbia Heights, Saint Anthony and other project partner cities on a regional solicitation application.
December 2018
The project was added to City of Minneapolis 5-year Capital Improvement Program.
2020/2021
Project partners conducted more engagement and preliminary design on the project.
Spring 2022
Layout approved by the City Council on March 2022.
