Hold community listening sessions

The community listening sessions will be held in locations across Minneapolis between Aug. 25th and Sept. 14th. These listening sessions are being hosted by City Council members. The community can provide feedback, guidance, and perspective on the next police chief

Mayor Frey will:

  • Review the list of recommended finalists
  • Interview selected finalists
  • Have a background check completed by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA)
  • Submit the person selected to the Minneapolis City Council for final confirmation process
