Our division coordinates all of the Minneapolis Police Department's training by:

Focusing on the professional development of every employee at every level.
Identifying strategic and tactical ways to improve public trust through every interaction with the members of the community.
Providing training for new cadet and recruit officers through the Academy.

Internal Affairs Division

The Internal Affairs (IA) division conducts investigations into complaints concerning the conduct and actions of the Minneapolis Police Department. Our team:

Works with the Office of Police Conduct Review to investigate violations of the department's policy and procedure manual
Provides investigative support to critical incidents
Maintains the confidentiality of internal affairs investigations and records
