1st Precinct

The 1st Precinct serves downtown Minneapolis. Its boundaries are the Mississippi River to the North and Northeast, Interstate 94 on the West and South and Plymouth Avenue North.

The 1st Precinct is headquarters for patrol officers.  It includes:

  • Precinct Investigations
  • Community Response Team
  • The Mounted Patrol
  • Arson Unit

You can make an in-person police report at the precinct.  They do not take reports by phone or email.

Access to police services

  • For emergencies, call 911. TTY users can call 911 directly. Text-to-911 is available in Minneapolis.
  • For non-emergencies and information in alternative formats, contact 311.
  • People who are deaf or hard of hearing can use the relay service, TTY: 612-263-6850.
