What we do

In Policy and Research, we:

  • Research issues and trends that affect the City.
  • Review and analyze proposed policies, programs, and options.
  • Meet with City Council to share information about a specific policy area.
  • Create reports, briefings, staff memos, and other materials for City Council review.
  • Answer technical questions from the City Council's members, committees, and temporary groups.

Legislative Information Management System (LIMS)

LIMS is our system for managing meetings and the items that go through the City Council process. Our goal is to record the decisions made, and make that information easy to find and understand.
