What to know
- This first step will determine if your proposed site or utility box is eligible for public art.
- You will provide information about your proposed art project and your desired location.
- By getting this approval early on, you can get started before you prepare a full application.
During this step:
- The ownership of the property or object location:
- If it not City owned, you will work with the owner
- If it is City owned, the City will check the eligibility
- The City staff will determine if:
- Art is possible on this location
- There is no upcoming construction in the area
- The restrictions or rules allow for public art in the space
Every project must secure this approval before it can move forward.
