What staff liaisons do
Every board or commission is supported by a City department. The department assigns a staff liaison who is responsible for:
- Assisting in recruiting members
- Reviewing applicants for the appointing authority
- Helping new members get started
- Providing support for meetings
- Ensuring the group follows meeting laws and rules
When appointed to a board or commission, you'll hear from your staff liaison about onboarding requirements. They will be your main contact for meeting information and everything related to your board.
