This project is part of the ongoing street maintenance program.

ADA pedestrian ramp updates

Pedestrian ramps were upgraded in 2024 to current ADA standards.

Resurfacing

City staff will resurface Saint Anthony Pkwy between Central Ave NE and Hayes St. NE in 2025. 

We resurfaced Saint Anthony Pkwy between Hayes St. NE and Stinson Pkwy in 2024.

We replace the top layer of asphalt pavement to extend the life of a street.  The new pavement should last at least 10 years.

Community engagement

Project staff will hold an in-person community meeting:

• Tuesday, April 29th, 2025
• 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Windom Park Recreation Center, 1801 23rd Ave NE., Minneapolis

Work schedule

Resurfacing work to begin Monday, May 5th, 2025 on the road between Hayes St NE and Johnson St NE. This work is expected to take approximately 4 weeks. 

Additional resurfacing work will begin Monday, June 2nd, 2025 on the road between Johnson St NE and Central Ave NE. This work expected to take approximately 5 week.     

Traffic impacts

Beginning Monday, May 5th, 2025, the parkway between Hayes St NE and Johnson St NE closed to all traffic and detoured to 29th Ave NE.  This closure will remain in place until the project is completed.
