Funding paths explained

Funding partners

You can get funds by working with one of our partners.

Partners provide an easier and more streamlined experience.

They can give you more hands-on help and guide you through the process.

What they do

Our funding partners can do many things, including:

  • Provide funding on the City's behalf
  • Find and fill out utility rebate applications that can help cover the cost of your project
  • Help get quotes for your proposed projects
  • Help identify contractors to complete your projects

Direct City funds

You can get grants directly from the City by completing our application.

This is a more complicated process than working with one of our funding partners.

Benefits of this method include:

  • Working directly with City staff
  • The potential to qualify for higher grants

What you do

With this method, you would receive less technical assistance.

To get funding this way, you will need to:

  • Plan out your project and get bids for each element
  • Complete the grant application
  • Create a vendor account in our financial system
  • Sign a contract with the City
  • Submit the required project completion documents
  • Invoice the City to get your grant award

  • Two- to four-unit rentals
