You can get help from one of our partners.

This method is easier and more streamlined. 

Using this path, you get the same funding as going through the City.

Eligibility

Eligibility in these programs is limited to the following properties:

  • Commercial/small business
  • Nonprofits
  • Multifamily properties with five or more units

Process

To apply for this funding, you need to:

  1. Review the offerings and requirements of each provider.
  2. Select your provider.
  3. Follow the partner's application process.

About the program

  • Offers free energy assessments
  • Free direct installations

  • Administered by the Center for Energy and Environment
  • Funded by Xcel Energy

Who should apply

Businesses and nonprofit Xcel Energy commercial electric customers with a peak demand of up to 400 kW.

  • LED lighting and controls
  • Furnaces, boilers, rooftop units
  • Smart thermostats
  • Refrigeration

About the program

  • Free energy assessments
  • Business energy efficiency grants
  • Utility rebate support and navigation
  • Administered by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber)
  • Funded by the Chamber, Xcel Energy and CenterPoint Energy

  • Xcel Energy commercial and industrial customers
  • CenterPoint Energy commercial and industrial customers
  • Members of the Chamber

Natural Gas Energy Analysis program

(NGEA)

  • Energy assessment of natural gas use
  • Free direct installations
  • Utility rebate support
  • Customer co-pay of $50-$200
  • Electric energy analysis for an additional $500
  • Administered by Frontier Energy
  • Funded by CenterPoint Energy

Who should apply

CenterPoint Energy commercial and industrial customers.

Eligible projects

Any industrial process or heating equipment that uses natural gas.

Multifamily Building Efficiency program

(MFBE)

  • Market rate and low-income bonus utility rebates
  • Administered by Frontier Energy
  • Funded by Xcel Energy and CenterPoint Energy

Who should apply

  • Xcel or CenterPoint Energy customers
  • Residential properties with five or more units
  • Buildings that have:
    • A shared entrance
    • Common areas
    • In-unit kitchens

Eligible projects

  • LED lighting and controls
  • Furnaces, boilers, rooftop units
  • Water heaters
  • Insulation and air sealing (income qualified only)
