Vehicle inspections

Your taxicab must pass an inspection at an authorized garage:

• Before you can get a Minneapolis license
• Every year before renewing your license.

A mechanic will give you a taxi inspection report. Bring this to the Business Licenses office.

Applications

• Taxicab
• Medical transport vehicle
• Wheelchair accessible vehicle – age waiver
• Car to car transfer
  If you want to use a different car, you need to update your license.
• Company to company transfer 
  If you want to work for a different company, you need to update your records.
• Person to person transfer
  If you want to sell your car to another person, you need to complete an application.
