Learn about zoning regulations for cannabis businesses
Use map to search for eligible locations
You can get a Zoning and Floodplain letter to prove that your business address follows the zoning rules.
Apply for construction permits
You must apply for a building permit to make sure you have met building and fire code. You must do this even if you do not plan to do any construction.
Learn about the Sewer Availability Charges (SAC)
You must get a SAC determination letter as part of your access to the regional sewer system.
Make air filtration and odor mitigation plans
These types of cannabis businesses must submit an Odor Control and Air Filtration Plan:
- Retail
- Cultivation
- Manufacturers
- Wholesalers

Contact a city planner to see what standards may apply for your business
Submit site selection with OCM
Submit final application documents and site selection with OCM.
Once you have completed these steps, you are now ready to request local approval.
This process may take up to 30 days.
