Dead animal dashboard
Before you begin
Animals on our dashboard
We maintain a list of dogs and cats that were found dead within the last 30 days. Some were severely hurt or sick when we found them and needed to be put down.
If you are missing a dog or a cat
Check these dashboard details:
- Pickup date
- Pickup location
- Animal description
If you find a likely match:
- Call Minneapolis Care & Control.
- Give us the dashboard ID of the likely match.
- We will explain the next steps.
Timeline for holding remains
Every Monday, we dispose of the remains of animals found during the previous seven days.
If your pet has been missing for more than 30 days, you can submit a data request with the City Clerk’s office.
