In this training you will learn how NEAR Science:

- Studies how life experiences impact our genes
- Looks at how these changes help species survive
- Examines how childhood trauma affects biology and behavior
- Effects can lead to long-term health and social issues

Each month, there will is an optional one-hour online session to go along with the Public Health Community Institute trainings.
These sessions focus on topics for new leaders and team members like:

- Other important skills
You'll learn helpful tips and tools you can:
- Use right away
- Meet other leaders
- Find support for the challenging work you do
These are supplementary sessions and do not count towards the required sessions to apply for funding.
