Apply for PHCI funding

You can apply for funding to lead a public health project in your community.

Overview

Public Health Community Institute (PHCI) attendees are eligible to apply for funding if they complete:

  • All core competency sessions
  • Two additional public health topic sessions

A few organizations will be awarded up to $15,000 each to do a public health project in the community.

Eligibility to apply for funding

Step 1

Complete core competencies

May 2025

Attendees must complete all PHCI core competency sessions.

May 2025 session dates:

  • May 6: Public Health and Health Equity 101  
  • May 13: Program Development, Design, Mapping and Implementation 
  • May 20: Evaluation  
  • May 29: Budgeting for Success

Step 2

Attend two additional sessions

All year

To apply for funding, you must attend two more public health topic sessions. You can choose sessions from the monthly offerings available throughout the year.

Apply for funding

After training completion

Once all requirements are met, attendees become eligible to apply for funding.
