The Minneapolis Health Department has a new RFP. This is a funding opportunity for organizations to develop and put in place youth focused substance use prevention projects in Minneapolis.
Background
Organizations can apply for up to $30,000 for one year. They will develop and carry out a project focused on preventing youth from using cannabis and other substances.
Projects may include youth and adults (such as caregivers). However, they should primarily focus on youth.
The goals of this project include:
- Educating youth about the effects of substance use on mental and physical health
- Building youth leadership and youth empowerment
- Ultimately developing and implementing prevention focused projects that are effective for young people in Minneapolis
This program is funded by a grant from the Cannabis & Substance Use Prevention program of the Minnesota Department of Health’s Health Improvement Bureau.
