Healthy Worksites Program request for proposals

The City is now accepting proposals for the Healthy Worksites Program.

Overview

The Minneapolis Health Department is opening a new RFP. This is a funding opportunity to support worksite wellness initiatives across the city. The Healthy Worksites Microgrants Program supports small businesses and nonprofits in creating healthier workplaces. They do this by providing funding and technical support for projects that promote employees’:

  • Physical health
  • Mental health

Background

Eligible organizations may get up to $3,000 through the Healthy Worksites Microgrants Program. The funding can be used for wellness projects that promote:

  • Healthy eating
  • Physical activity
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Mental wellbeing

Organizations that are chosen will get funding and technical support. This support helps them carry out their projects.

This program is funded through the Minnesota Department of Health’s Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) grant.

Eligibility

Businesses and nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply if they:

  • Are based in Minneapolis or have a branch located in Minneapolis
  • Have at least 10 employees and fewer than 200 employees
