Animal Care and Control Advisory Board Advises on the development of animal-related policies and decision making processes, burgeoning community issues related to animals, and public education and outreach efforts. Southside Green Zone Council Vacancies: 20 Requirement: Twelve resident community members who live in the Southside Green Zone and; explicitly support the successful implementation of the Southside Green Zone; have been impacted by cumulative pollution, or demonstrate expertise in environmental justice, climate resiliency, or cumulative health impacts; equitably reflect the cultural, linguistic, racial, and demographic makeup of the community that lives in the Southside Green Zone. Four Youth Ambassadors who live in the Southside Green Zone and; are interested in being mentored by a Southside Green Zone Council member; can be a leader in engaging other youth to learn about and support Green Zones and Equitably reflect the cultural, linguistic, racial, and demographic makeup of the community that lives in the Southside Green Zone. Racial Equity Community Advisory Committee Vacancies: 17 Requirement: At least one member from each of the 13 wards appointed by the City Council and two members appointed by the Mayor, with one seat available to a person appointed by the Minneapolis School Board and one by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, with a priority on racial balance. Upper Harbor Terminal Collaborative Planning Committee Vacancies: 17 Requirement: Seven members with one each from the following areas, with preference in appointment for at least one renter representative and one young adult representative the McKinley neighborhood; Hawthorne neighborhood; Bottineau neighborhood; Marshall Terrace neighborhood; and three residents of north or northeast Minneapolis. Five cultural group representatives to include diversity based on people identifying as lndigenous, Latinx, Asian or Pacific lslander, African American, African, and/or LGBTQIA.
