Licensed contractors can complete and submit the form to request to use a hydrant. There is a fee for the usage.

To apply, you must provide:

  • Organization or company name
  • Hydrant use permit type (demolition or construction)
  • Your name and contact information (email, address, phone)
  • Preferred location of the hydrant and usage date
  • Purpose for using the hydrant
  • Field contact name and phone number

When applying, you must agree that you:

  • Are authorized to submit this application.
  • Have the property owner’s permission to do the proposed work.
  • Will ensure all work will follow state and City laws and ordinances.
  • Will obtain any required licenses or certificates before starting work.
  • Understand that this permit does not serve as proof that the City has verified a contractor's:
    • Contractor license
    • Business license
    • Certificate of competency
  • Will not hire anyone without a license or certificate that requires one.
