Minneapolis City Council Meeting Changes

The Minneapolis City Council is changing its meeting schedule in response to ongoing community needs resulting from the presence of federal agents in the city. Council Members are prioritizing their constituents and the community, and they recognize the demand this ongoing situation has placed on the City’s administration and staff.

Beginning the week of Jan. 26, regular committee meetings are cancelled. Items normally referred to standing committees will be referred to the Committee of the Whole (COW) on Tuesday, Feb. 3, starting at 9:30 a.m. The list of canceled committee meetings includes:

The change in the Council’s regular cycle will cover the next 25 days (through Feb. 19).

  • COW Tuesday, Feb. 3, 9:30 a.m.
  • Full council meeting: Thursday, Feb. 5, 9:30 a.m.
  • COW Tuesday, Feb. 17, 9:30 a.m.
  • Full council meeting: Thursday, Feb. 19, 9:30 a.m.

All meetings will be held in the Council Chamber (Room 380) on the third floor of the Municipal Building, 350 S. Fifth St.
