Pedestrian and Bicycle improvements
This project aims to improve safety and accessibility for residents and visitors. Improvements planned for this project include: pedestrian medians, the construction of an all ages and abilities bikeway, and curb extensions. This project will also upgrade over 50 curb ramps and improve safety at intersections. Curb ramp replacement and pedestrian improvements will begin in the spring or summer of 2026.
Resurfacing
City crews will resurface the streets in 2028. A new top layer of asphalt pavement will help extend the life of the streets. The new pavement should last at least 10 years.
Project goals
We aim to:
- Reduce vehicular travel speeds
- Increase safety for all users
- Build curb ramps that are compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
Schedule
