42nd St E alley storm sewer improvements
The project will replace failing and undersized storm sewer near 42nd St E between Chicago Ave and 14th Ave S.

City crews will replace 950 feet of sewer and the related structures. They will also improve the sewer layout in 42nd St E & Elliot Ave and 42nd St E & 13th Ave S.
Two new concrete alleys will also be built following the sewer work.
An online informational meeting will take place on Thursday, March 5th at 6:00 PM CST.
Traffic impacts
Expect the following temporary traffic impacts:
- Detours
- Lane restrictions
- Intersection reductions
- Parking restrictions
- Revised pedestrian and bicycle routes
Residents, businesses and visitors may experience:
- Noise
- Vibration
- Dust in work areas
Alleys will close during concrete pouring.
