Community Trauma Response

We partner with groups that support healing, recovery and resilience in neighborhoods.

Overview

Community Trauma Response (CTR) helps people and communities recover from the effects of violence and trauma.

Our recovery efforts:

  • Address the root causes of violence
  • Foster long-term strength and resilience for families and communities
  • Help people and neighborhoods heal after violence or trauma
  • Support people as they return to the community after incarceration
  • Build strong, connected communities through relationships and local investment

People who experience or witness violence often need immediate and ongoing support.

Preventative efforts

The Community Trauma Response program:

  • Helps people who may be at risk of getting involved in violence
    • We do this by addressing the underlying causes of violence and preventing repeated involvement in violence.
  • Provides resources and guidance as people build their futures
  • Prevents victims and survivors from committing violence in the future
