Condo registration and renewal
You must register condominiums in Minneapolis and renew them annually.
What to know
Definition
Owners of cooperatives and owner-occupied townhouses must register their buildings with the City. This does not include leasehold cooperatives.
Depending on the condo or unit, you may need additional registrations.
- Rental units within the condo must have a rental license.
- Owners of units used for short-term rentals (such as AirBnB, VBR, etc.) must get a short-term registration.
Timing
- You must register your condo with us every year.
- Within 14 days, update your registration any time there are changes to the:
- Name
- Addresses
- Or other information on your registration
