What to know

Definition

A commercial kitchen is used by licensed businesses such as:

  • Caterers
  • Food trucks

A license is not required if the commercial kitchen is used only for:

  • Cooking classes, or
  • By community members for cooking non-commercial foods

Application requirements

To submit this application, you must provide the following:

  • Completed application form
  • License fee
  • Completed floor plan form
  • Certified food protection manager 
  • Background check
  • Copy of the menu
  • Completed food plan review form
  • Sewer availability charge
