Overview

An Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) is a combination of policies and procedures.

It's purpose is to prevent discrimination and promote equal employment opportunities for:

  • Women
  • Minorities
  • People with disabilities

How to use your plan

Your plan is a tool to help you:

  • Look at your workforce
  • Identify problems
  • Develop solutions
  • Measure progress toward workforce diversity

What to submit

If you are entering into a contract over $100,000 you must submit one of the following documents.

Certificate of Compliance

You can submit a Certificate of Compliance from one of the following agencies instead of an Affirmative Action Plan.

Full or modified Affirmative Action Plan

The number of full-time employees you employ determines which plan you submit.

Look at the last 12 months.

  • Submit the full plan if you employed over 40 full-time employees on a single working day.
  • Submit the modified plan if you employed 40 or fewer full-time employees on a single working day.
