Disparity Study
The City of Minneapolis supports an environment where all people and companies working with the City can compete for our business fairly, and the City strives to eliminate discrimination against women-owned and minority-owned business. The City’s Small and Underutilized Business addresses the effects of past discrimination in contracting and promotes equal opportunities for all to participate in contracts generated by the City.
The City commissioned a Disparity Study to examine evidence that would support the continuation of Minneapolis’ Small and Underutilized Business Program and see whether any modifications of that plan would be beneficial. This study, which is now complete, supports setting goals for women and minority business participation in City contracts.
