The proportion of people 16 and older in the neighborhood either working or looking for a job is quite high and increasing since 1980, exceeding the citywide figure in 1990. In 2000, it was up to 80 percent, compared to 72 percent citywide.
Since 1980, the percentage of unemployed people in Keewaydin decreased steadily and remained significantly lower than the citywide figure. It was 2.4 percent in 2000, compared to 5.8 percent in Minneapolis.
