Labor force

Between 1980 and 2000, Bryn Mawr's labor force participation rate (the percentage of working-age residents who are employed or seeking a job) increased steadily and remained above Minneapolis' percentage.

Bryn Mawr's unemployment rate increased from 1.8 percent in 1980 to 2.1 percent in 2000, remaining significantly lower than Minneapolis', which reached 5.8 percent in 2000.
