Blueprint for Action Strategic Planning

National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention

Minneapolis joined the National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention in 2012 - a federal effort that brings cities together in order to share information and support local efforts to prevent and reduce youth violence. Joining the Forum brings continued focus and energy to Minneapolis and allows the organizations working on the Blueprint to take the plan to the next level of expansion. Minneapolis is charged with updating its strategic plan to prevent youth violence, which will allow the City to continue to develop the Blueprint for Action: Preventing Youth Violence in Minneapolis and expand it to 2016. Currently the City of Minneapolis is embarking on a strategic planning process and will be hosting several community engagement sessions in May and June to gather input to inform the new plan.

For more information, see the National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention.
