Pregnancy and Lead
The state of Minnesota is one of only three jurisdictions that have issued guidelines surrounding lead screening and management of lead poisoning in pregnant and postpartum women.
If you are pregnant, or thinking about becoming pregnant, talk with your doctor about your potential risk for lead exposure.
MHD has created a fact sheet (pdf) on pregnancy and lead, highlighting the guidelines for screening, testing and treating women in the state of Minnesota.
